Just Do It....

I finally did.

It.

I bought some cloth diapers.

Do you think I'm crazy?

I hope it works out.

I bought enough for about 3 days I think.

I know my laundry skills leave something to be desired, but surely I can handle a load of diapers every 3 days.

I still have to buy disposables for daycare.

I just bought a huge box, so I should be good for awhile.

We'll see if a one time $100 investment as opposed to spending $40+ each month on diapers is worth it.

I would be willing to bet that having a little more room for trash in the can instead of all those diapers might just make it worth it.

And having some extra money in my recently cut grocery budget might make it worth it too.

  1. you are brave! I don't think that I could handle cloth diapers! Poop just grosses me out and the few times that Kendra had an accident in her panties when we were potty training, I just threw them out cause I almost barfed just thinking about cleaning them out!

you go girl!!! you're a better woman then me!

  2. Good luck with the diaper experiment!
Fortunately, I'm all done with diapers for the moment! Yay!
Perhaps if I ever have a second child I will give them a shot. I fully intended to before having Ciara, but they just seemed to impractical since she's in daycare and couldn't have them there.

I am not sure I could have done it.

Can't wait to hear how it all turns out...or comes out!

  4. I think it's awesome! I definitely want to do cloth diapers with my next child, but with my son at 2 1/2 and almost out of diapers, I'm thinking I'll wait until I conceive and have that next child before making the switch. He could start potty training any hot minute though so I am not sure the investment would pay off at this point. :)

  7. I am thrilled to see how this turns out. I was so tempted to go the cloth route with Eli but just never did.

Maybe you'll convert me in the process.

  9. If it turns out that you really enjoy doing the CD thing, let me know because I have TONS of fuzzy bunz for sale, as well as inserts. We really enjoyed CD'ing for as long as we did!

  10. You go girl! I think that's awesome. I wish I would have done that. I honestly didn't even think about it when my kids were in diapers. Terrible, huh?
